Police have identified a man who died after being struck by a train.
Hugh James, 41, of Stonepound Road, Hassocks, was killed when he stepped in front of a 70mph train travelling from London Victoria to Brighton.
It happened just north of Hassocks railway station on Tuesday at noon.
Inspector Gary Ansell, of British Transport Police, said the death was not being treated as suspicious.
