Having visited Shoreham Airshow last Saturday, I must comment on how wonderfully well organised it was.
Congratulations to the pilots, also, for their ability and courage.
Having said that, an anonymous event in the crowd cannot, I feel, go without comment. When a young boy got food lodged in his throat and stopped breathing, it could have ended in tragedy but quick and efficient first aid by his father saved the day and the boy's life.
The way the father held his sobbing boy for a full five minutes afterwards and the way the lad clung to him spoke volumes about their relationship. The emotional impact of it will remain with me long after other memories of the day fade.
I know only that the boy's name is Sebastian but he has my wishes for a long life and his father has my congratulations and the respect of all who witnessed the event.
