I have visited Holland and have found no evidence of trolleybuses. Can Malcolm Hampton (Letters, September 2) explain where they are?
It has efficient trams. I suggest Mr Hampton studies the latest evidence on trams from Croydon and Manchester and the planned park-and-ride sites on Nottingham's tram system, which is due to open in November 2003. Its first five-car articulated tram has been built. Mr Hampton should compare their capacity to a single trolleybus.
