I was thinking I should take an interest in local affairs so I called in to the town hall to attend a meeting.
I was very surprised because I kept reading in The Argus that the local council was democratic and Mr Bodfish said in the City News everything was to be open and told to the public.
To my disgust, only very little time was for the public to hear what was going on.
Then the councillors went away for a long time to talk in private. I told my neighbours about this and we were very angry.
