Brighton Bears missed out on top spot in the Birmingham International tournament last night.
Bears blew a 10-point half-time lead and went down 77-74 in their final match after Birmingham Bullets stitched together a 15-0 run to open the third quarter.
Earlier Nick Nurse's men came from 18 points down to beat Sheffield Sharks 93-91 as Sterling Davis hit a three-pointer on their final possession.
Davis finished with 23 points and looked Bears' best player at the tournament.
They opened the weekend with an unconvincing 98-79 success over Swedish guests Oskarshamn.
Bears have invited London Towers to next Sunday's pre-season event at the Brighton centre.
Towers, Bears and Worthing Thunder will play each other in a series of three 20-minute matches (5pm).
