Lewes progressed to the second round by beating Ryman division one north side Slough Town 6-4 in a thriller at the Dripping Pan.
The visitors played attractive, incisive football and took the lead twice in the first half, but the Rooks hit straight back on each occasion.
Ross Standen was beaten by Byron Bubb from a clever set-piece on 12 minutes, but three minutes later Julian Curnow equalised with a cool penalty.
Michael Gilkes put Slough ahead again five minutes before the interval from a neat free kick, but the overjoyed visitors were double-whammied by a scrappy Stuart Hack tap-in and then a Chris Metcalf own goal.
On the hour mark Luke Gedling floated a cross over which Gareth Green nodded in and five minutes later Jon Palmer set up Tony Reid for 5-2.
Slough were gifted a goal after a poor clearance ricocheted off Curnow into Standen's net and then Alvin Bubb made it 5-4 in injury time.
Once again, Lewes went straight back and scored through substitute Germain Amanuel.
