Thank goodness the Capital of Culture nonsense is over.
How could Brighton and Hove City Council think of entering such a tatty town (it is still a town to me) and wasting £100,000 of our council tax on it?
But what's new? It is always wasting our hard-earned cash on things we are never asked our opinion on and just carries out whatever mad scheme comes into its head.
It would have stood a better chance had there been a Capital of Vulgarity competition.
We have dirty, rubbish-strewn streets, the Brighton Pier, people sitting on pavements beading hair, day-trippers along the esplanade, building piercing and I'm sure much more could easily be added to the list.
