Haywards Heath put their National League push back on course, thanks to a storming performance from their pack.
Heath beat London Nigerians 22-5 at Whitemans Green to keep the heat on London One leaders Southend, who were 28-7 winners at Cheshunt.
Owen Ashton kicked five penalties and a conversion, with forward pressure forcing the handling error from which Giles Goodburn raced 50 yards for his side's only try.
Heath led 19-0 at half-time but Nigerians scored a try straight after the break.
However, Heath's backs were impressive in the second half and they went close to a try on several occasions before Ashton wrapped up the points with his final penalty.
Heath's Riaan Kruger returned from a three-week injury lay-off with a try for the second team while Stuart Charnley got two in a 32-5 win over Nigerians II.
