Look out Lewes! George 'Dubya' Bush is heading for tonight's spectacular bonfire festival - straddling a 16ft missile.
The US president follows in the footsteps of last year's effigy, Osama Bin Laden, as the Spitting Image-style papier mache effigy destined for the flames of tonight's bonfire celebrations.
Last minute preparations are in full swing for the procession and displays with police renewing their calls for crowds to stay calm and be sensible.
All police leave has been cancelled and 300 officers will provide security across the town.
Fifteen members of the Commercial Square Bonfire Society have spent more then 1,000 hours creating the George Bush tableau.
More then £1,000 of fireworks, which will be electronically detonated, have been fitted inside.
Onlookers will be treated to a five-minute firework display before president Bush and his missile blow up.
Ray Chapman, of the Commercial Square Society, said today: "We always try to choose a big international subject and decided to take a dig at George Bush this year.
"We are really looking forward to this evening. It should be a great night."
Bush will be pulled through the town and will end up at a free bonfire at Lamport recreation ground.
