Lewes district councillors have reaffirmed their opposition to a new Brighton and Hove Albion stadium at Falmer.
They are against proposals to build a coach park and dropping off area on land north of Village Way.
The planning application has already been called in to be determined by the Secretary of State, alongside the stadium application itself, but the council wanted to make its own position clear in advance of a decision.
The transport interchange is an integral part of the bid for a stadium and will only go ahead if it does.
It would include parking for 40 away supporters' coaches, ten home supporters' coaches, provision for park-and-ride buses and pedestrian access to the stadium.
Vehicle access to the interchange would be from two points off Village Way.
Councillors say the interchange would close the remaining open gap of countryside between the University of Brighton and Falmer, destroying the character and separate identity of the village.
