Detectives are investigating new leads into the unsolved murder of a 63-year-old Worthing man.
William Howe was found dead in his flat in Victoria Road on January 8, 1990.
He had been severely beaten with a heavy instrument.
There have been various investigations into his murder but Sussex Police is now looking into the killing again after a caller contacted a newspaper with specific information.
Police spokesman Mark White said: "We are anxious to speak with the man who has provided the newspaper with the information.
"He has provided some very specific information, like names and addresses, which we have a duty to look in to."
