Sussex extends a warm welcome back to plane spotter Christopher Wilson, back in Britain after the quashing of his conviction in Greece.
Mr Wilson was convicted earlier this year of aiding and abetting spying at an air base where he was arrested a year ago.
It must have been tempting for Mr Wilson and some of his British colleagues not to return to Greece for an appeal after some of them were given suspended sentences.
But a Greek judge showed common sense after deciding these men were pursuing a harmless hobby rather than trying to find out State secrets.
Their bravery was rewarded by having their names cleared so that they could return home free.
Until now it has been hard for the sun-loving Greeks to understand the British obsession with hobbies such as plane spotting.
Now the Greeks have a word for it - even though it might not be all that polite.
