Something has been bothering me following the recent peace protests that befell Brighton and Hove.
Protesters, whether publicising the wrongs or rights of hunting with hounds or lecturers displaying their dissatisfaction with pay, normally carry out their placard-waving at an establishment near to or to do with these events.
For example, the fox-savers or killers would congregate outside the Houses of Parliament and the poorly paid teaching staff sing their sorrowful songs outside the doors of a college.
So why on Earth were our Iraq-loving street-cloggers in Brighton and Hove? It's not exactly the nerve centre of UK foreign policy, is it?
Who were they trying to make their point to? Had they spotted Foreign Office big cheeses promenading along the rain-soaked Palace Pier?
Maybe our rainbow-follicled friends were so peaceful they did not want to bother the good people of the train company and commute to Westminster or ask anyone directions.
