Averil Older has, in the past, respected the work we have done in representing the views of Vallance residents (Letters, November 6).
She once wrote to The Argus to congratulate us on helping remove some rubbish in Goldstone Villas.
She has told us she respects the efforts we made in improving the environment and pedestrianising George Street.
She also knows we hold regular surgeries at Hove Library and at Vallance Community Centre.
We suspect her new-found hostility is related to her intention to stand as a Tory candidate in next year's elections.
