Worthing Thunder coach Gary Smith reckons his side are poised to make up for one of their bleakest nights of last season.
Thunder are at home on Saturday to a Kingston Wildcats side who won by three points on their last visit having been 16 adrift at one stage.
It was a night which led Smith to question the commitment of some of his players but, in the run-up to the second league game of this campaign he declared: "The guys are in good shape.
"I know they upset us here last season but our team has really changed since then.
"I was pretty impressed by how everybody played against Worcester last week. If everyone does the job like that we will do well."
Thunder were 29 points up early in the second quarter on the way to a 118-84 win which sets up a home Trophy semi with Plymouth on December 7.
Young guard Rani Malik was one of the stars of the show, hitting ten points in three minutes at one stage.
His brother Ramy impressed defensively for Brighton Cougars as they scored a thrilling 86-83 Trophy success at Tamar Valley.
Steve McQueen hit 23 points and Emmanuel Laroche sank the lay-up which put his side ahead late on but defensive work and rebounding were the keys.
The win sets up the re-match on Saturday with Tamar's unbeaten league record on the line.
Sixteen points from new boy Simon Bryant was the highlight of Bognor Pirates' 61-48 defeat at Brixton.
