Teams and individuals working for East Sussex County Council have been rewarded for their high standards in customer care and service delivery.
Councillor Michael Tunwell, chairman of the council, joined chief executive Cheryl Miller to hand out framed certificates to the winning staff.
Excellence in customer service winners were: The education personnel and finance services teams at county hall, Lewes; the Hastings-based social services information line and Peacehaven library staff.
Innovation in service delivery winners were: The Eastbourne-based social services family work team;
the Downlands day centre in Peacehaven; the Lewes-based public relations team and Penny Wood, from the corporate resources directorate.
In the category for sharing of learning, the adult education team and Liz Currell, from the transport and environment department, both based at County Hall, won awards.
Seven other county council teams were highly commended for their work.
