A paedophile priest is behind bars today after admitting a series of sex attacks on young boys.
Michael Hill, 68, of Lingfield, Surrey, pleaded guilty to six charges of indecent assault on three boys aged between ten and 14.
The former chaplain of Gatwick airport appeared at the Old Bailey in London, wearing a grey jacket and blue shirt and tie.
He admitted committing the assaults between 1969 and 1987.
A further eight charges will not be proceeded with and are due to be left on file.
Hill had been on bail but his Honour Judge Christopher Moss, QC, remanded him into custody.
Judge Moss said: "The result of this matter is inevitable. The only question is the length."
Hill is due to appear in court again at 10am on Thursday to be sentenced.
Hill was jailed for five years in 1997 for a series of sex offences during the same period between 1969 and 1987.
An inquiry headed by Lord Nolan was set up following a spate of priests being charged with sex offences.
Between 1995 and 1999, 21 of the 5,600 Catholic priests in England and Wales were convicted of offences against children.
