Jack Pearce will throw open the doors to one of his oldest friends in football tonight, then attempt to knock Crawley Town out of the Senior Cup.
Sussex's last non-league FA Cup survivors go to Nyewood Lane on a night of heavyweight second round ties in the county's premier knockout competition.
That means a battle of wits between Bognor boss Jack Pearce and his opposite number Billy Smith.
Pearce promised: "We will welcome Billy's whole family down here because he is one my closest friends in non-league football.
"Hopefully Crawley will have their minds on the FA Cup but I'm sure Bill will stress the importance to them of this tie."
There is a re-union too at the Dripping Pan where former Worthing skipper Paul Kennett hopes to take on his former club with Lewes.
Kennett left Woodside Road in September and admitted: "I just hope I'm selected to play. The manager tells us the team just before the game and we've got a big squad so nothing is certain.
"We're looking forward to it. This must be the first time Lewes have played Worthing and been favourites."
Horsham skipper Eddie French also faces his former team as Hassocks visit Queen Street while Ringmer boss Glen Burvill goes back to his old club Whitehawk.
Holders Eastbourne Borough kick-off their defence at home to Shoreham.
