A man has launched a campaign to get his road resurfaced to end his sleepless nights.
Peter Longhurst, 58, is calling on his neighbours to join him in demanding Brighton and Hove City Council improve part of London Road.
Mr Longhurst, who has lived in London Road for ten years, has claimed the poor surface of the road between Tongdean Lane and Preston Park causes his house to vibrate whenever speeding traffic passes along it.
He has posted more than 100 letters to his neighbours calling for their support.
He said: "I know I live on the main road between London and Brighton, but all I am asking is that it is kept in good condition and policed better so there is not so much speeding.
"I am sick of being woken up at three or four in the morning by traffic vibrating my house to pieces. I want something done about it now."
Brighton and Hove City Council said it is planning to resurface the section of road during the next two years.
A spokeswoman said: "We have a five-year plan of work on-going in London Road and have already resurfaced part of it.
"We have not deliberately missed out this section and hope to begin working on it within the next two years."
