Why is everyone so upset about Blatchington Mill headteacher Neil Hunter giving preferential treatment to the daughter of one of his senior teachers?
I seem to remember Prime Minister Tony Blair using his position to get his two sons into the prestigious London Oratory School in Fulham.
Whether we like it or not, there will always be nepotism. I do not agree with Mr Hunter doing what he did but, for heaven's sake, our own Prime Minister is as guilty.
All that teacher did was use his influence to obtain for his daughter what he thought was a better standard of education than was on offer at Portslade Community College, exactly what Tony Blair did for his own sons.
It might not be the most honest thing to do but it certainly should not have surprised anyone that it happened in the first place.
