Last year, Nickelback went from being one of Canada's best-loved rock bands to being one of the biggest acts in the world.
Their latest album, Silver Side Up, has racked up more than four million sales in the US, gone six-times platinum in Canada and spawned a brace of unforgettable and inimitably catchy singles, How You Remind Me and Too Bad.
Despite the immense success, lead singer/ guitarist Chad Kroeger and the band remain grounded about the future.
He says: "If it doesn't happen again, it doesn't matter, because nobody can take away what we have already achieved."
Guitarist Ryan Peake says: "We just like writing good songs with good melodies that you'll sing at our shows and remember when you walk away."
Even if Nickelback did want to sit back and enjoy their success, a gruelling schedule would not allow it.
As well as non-stop touring and recording, Kroeger and music mogul Jonathan Simkin have joined forces to create 604 Recordings, a production company licensed under Road-runner Records.
Their aim is to seek out and develop undiscovered talent in the music world not only in North America but also globally.
Kroeger has also co-produced fellow Vancouver rockers Default's gold-certified debut disc The Fallout, as well as the first project to come of the Roadrunner Records/604 Recording's venture, Theory Of A Deadman.
Nickelback also contributed Yanking Out My Heart to the platinum-selling Scorpion King film soundtrack, while Kroeger wrote and collaborated with Saliva's Josey Scott on Hero, for the soundtrack to the smash film Spider-Man.
Kroeger's hard work has not gone unrewarded - he won an MTV award for the song.
At the moment, it's all go for Nickelback. They have just released their first DVD, entitled Live At Home, which was recorded earlier this year at Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
As well as the full live show, it includes interviews and behind-the-scenes footage of the band.
Meanwhile, in the UK, the band's Silver Side Up is well on its way to triple-platinum status: It looks set to nudge the one million sales mark by Christmas.
Nickelback will kick off their first UK arena tour in Brighton on Saturday.
The tour coincides with the release of their third single Never Again, which is out on Monday. Tickets are £19.50. Call 0870 900 9100.
