Has Myra Hindley truly repented for the terrible crimes she helped to commit?
If she lied to those who befriended her, God will not be fooled. Does she deserve forgiveness? That question will cause problems to many people, both believers and non-believers.
I am a Christian by persuasion and my conscience has bid me to pray that God will meet with this sinner's needs, those being a true repentance and also His mercy.
The price for Hindley's redemption was paid for on Good Friday with the supreme sacrifice of Jesus Christ, which He made on a non-selective basis but with penitence being the only beneficiary qualification.
Yes, I have prayed for the victims of such harrowing bereavements and suffer their grief, too, but that can never be to the same depths, understandably.
My prayers will be said again tomorrow in church for their sufferings.
