Horsham and Worthing both claimed victories in the Kent/Sussex Regional League but Mid Sussex lost 6-2 to Blackheath.
Goals from Stuart McConachie and James Goodwin pulled the score back to 3-2 at one stage in the second half but hosts Blackheath scored three more in the final quarter.
Mids' Phil Middleton said: "We didn't deserve anything from the game but we all know, had we played better, we certainly could have got something from it."
Horsham won for only the second time this season as they triumphed 5-3 at Sevenoaks.
Richard Blakesley (two), skipper Richard Lowe, Robin Sims and Stuart Donaldson all scored.
Lowe said: "Everything we have been threatening to do came together on Saturday and all our goals were really good."
Mark Duncan scored a hat-trick as Worthing won 4-3 away to bottom side Old Williamsonians.
Skipper David Edmondson set the ball rolling with a penalty stroke.
The hosts levelled for a second time following Duncan's first goal but the hat-trick hero took control in the second half for a Worthing side missing top scorer Dan Lock through injury.
Edmondson said: "It was great to see Mark grab a hat-trick. With Ramiz Inga scoring his first goals for the club with a brace for the 2nd XI and Simon Holloway also netting a hat-trick for the seconds, we are looking strong in the strikers' positions."
