Seaford moved up to third place in Sussex One after clinching their fourth win in six games with a 53-5 win at Rye.
Despite the scoreline, it was not a vintage display against a Rye team who put up a good physical battle in the forwards.
Hat-trick man Andy Gunstone was Seaford's outstanding player and capped his performance with a superb try after a crash ball move on halfway.
Phil Innes also shone on his call-up from the second team, scoring one try and setting up another for Matt Sheppard.
James Anderson, Danny Newby, Simon Baker and Nick Everson also crossed with Andy Booth adding four conversions.
Seaford visit Hastings and Bexhill next Saturday fearing a backlash from their promotion rivals.
They missed an opportunity to close the gap on leaders Uckfield suffering a shock 13-7 defeat at relegation strugglers UC Chichester.
Hastings and Bexhill were unable to snatch a winning score after a late penalty try, converted by Paul Girardot, had given them hope.
