As a 68-year-old person born and bred in Brighton, I must say the Marina is a great place to visit, as I do on a regular basis.
Where else in this city of ours can you find free parking, nice shops, ten-pin bowling, a casino, a cinema, lovely places to eat, an ice rink and beautiful boats to see and envy?
Black Rock was not something I would have visited years ago.
Now I am more than happy to spend hours looking around and watching the area grow. It's for all ages and to the good of our city.
Would S Gwyther, from Saltdean (Letters, December 7), rather see rocks and rubbish than nice surroundings?
