A driver followed a 12-year-old boy and assaulted him as he walked with two friends in Lancing.

A man driving a white Vauxhall Vectra in the opposite direction stopped after driving past the boy and his two female friends in Greet Road, Lancing.

The man then reversed the car back up the road, following the boy.

He got out of the car and grabbed the boy by the arm and pushed him, causing bruising.

He shouted, swore and threatened the victim before getting back in the car and driving down Greet Road towards Crabtree Lane.

The attack happened at about 3.50pm on Wednesday.

The suspect is described as white, 6ft tall, with very short grey hair.

He spoke with a local accent and was wearing a black quilted jacket with a thick grey stripe around the middle and black jeans.

He also wore slightly squared, tinted glasses.
