I wonder if Brighton and Hove City Council gave any thought to the residents of Hangleton, Nevill and Knoll when they gave permission for travellers to return to Hangleton Valley?
The travellers had been given permission to stay for 30 days and water and toilets were laid on at the expense of the taxpayer when there is going to be a large increase in community charge.
When 30 days are up, it will need a court order to remove the travellers and the clean-up will also be at our expense.
The last time they were here, they were banned from the local shops and were aggressive when knocking on doors looking for work.
There were more robberies in Hangleton and their dogs were allowed to run wild.
It would have been easier to have left them where they were or move them right away. Why not make a site at the Beeding cement works for them, miles from anywhere, where they can live at their own expense, not at others'?
