Three businesses have been awarded £35,000 to improve the condition of their buildings.
The Brighton and Hove Regeneration Partnership gave the cash to firms on the Hollingbury and Centenary Industrial Estates.
Money from the Single Regeneration Budget Industrial Grants Programme went to a range of works, including a new roof and cladding, new windows, improved security and enhanced signs.
The successful firms are Potts and Ward wholesale distributors at Hollingbury, which received £29,000, Amplicon Liveline on the Centenary Industrial Estate (£4,500) and the Enterprise Estate business park, Hollingbury (£1,500).
Councillor Don Turner, vice-chairman of the partnership, said: "The three firms demonstrated they are making a commitment to improving the image of their buildings.
"The grant programme is available to any business on an industrial estate within the city to improve the external condition of their buildings or land."
