Sidlesham upset the form book when they knocked County League table-toppers Burgess Hill out of the John O'Hara League Cup with a 2-1 win at Leylands Park on Saturday.
Goals by Mark Wozniak and Richard Davies took Richard Towers into the semi-finals while Richard Carter got a 90th-minute consolation for the Hillians, who also had Ashley Carr sent off for two bookable offences to cap a bad day.
Towers said: "We went there with a game plan and it worked. The scoreline flattered them as we could have won by more and their manager Danny Bloor said that after the game too.
"I was ever so proud of the lads and their performance. It keeps the interest going in the season."
