I was surprised to read of the fuss about the use of the terms BCE and CE at the Dorothy Stringer School. Just how many parents have objected, I wonder?
My interest is religious history and I have many books on the subject. A lot of them use BCE and CE. It is common usage. Even the Oxford Companion To The Bible, published by Oxford University Press in 1993, uses BCE and CE throughout.
I suspect someone did not do their homework properly before this article was written.
