A roller coaster has reopened, days after day trippers were left dangling when the ride shot over a missing piece of track.
Management at Palace Pier in Brighton decided to reopen the white knuckle ride yesterday after the 2m section of track was replaced and checked by engineers.
Investigations into why the group of Christmas visitors were allowed to get on the ride on Wednesday despite the missing track are still taking place.
Nick Halsford, deputy general manager of the pier, said: "The ride is open again. We had it inspected by our consultant engineers so everything is fine.
"The investigations are ongoing, the internal one and the one with the Health and Safety Executive."
Eight workers from a London-based design firm were on the looping Turbo ride when it screeched to a halt and ended up hanging over the edge of the broken section of track.
