The spirit of Christmas past has been recreated in a shopping arcade dating back to 1925.
Traders in The Royal Arcade, Worthing, spent more than £1,000 on their festive lights display which has drawn admiring glances.
Most of the units are now taken and feature a wide range of specialist independent businesses each with a trendy frontage and hanging sign.
The shops include Solarama tanning shop, Richard John hair and beauty, Enchanted, Flair, Zen Acupuncture, The Arcade Shop, Theatrical Experience, Simpson's Health Foods, Top Drawers lingerie, Spiral jewellery and four cafes, including Manhattans.
Richard John said: "Seven years ago we didn't have any shops occupied on one side of the arcade and I really thought this place had had it but we have slowly turned it around and now I am really pleased."
Traders are now hoping that ornate gates will be fitted at either end of the arcade, opposite W H Smith, so security can be stepped up at night.
