Albion's under-17s romped to an extraordinary 9-1 win at QPR, but coach Colin Smart believes they will not let it go to their heads.
Jake Robinson led the way with four goals, making his total nine in the last four under-17 matches and 12 in nine games this season.
Ben Watson netted twice and Gary Elphick, Owen Callaghan and fit-again Lee Carey were also on target as Albion scored seven times in the second half.
It was the biggest win by an Albion under-17, 18 or 19 team since a 9-0 destruction of Wycombe in the FA Youth Cup almost ten years ago.
Smart said: "We played extremely well and completely outclassed them in the second half. Our passing was spot-on, they couldn't cope with our pace and our finishing was lethal.
"Possibly the pick of the goals was Ben Watson's first because it came after a move of about 15 passes but there were other superb goals too, including a couple of great individual efforts."
The result means Albion are still five points behind leaders Peterborough, with two games in hand on Posh, ahead of the South Coast derby against Portsmouth at Ardingly College on Saturday (11am).
