Shameless Ricky Sharma was preapared to do almost anything to be crowned Britain's wildest student.
Ricky, 21, spent three days running amok in America, living up to every student stereotype in a contest run by mobile phone firm Siemens.
He sang and danced on the roof of a New York taxi while its driver had nipped into a cafe. He went down on one knee to propose to a store assistant in Fifth Avenue jewellery store Tiffany's - before being escorted out by the manager.
He even ended up marrying a fellow male competitor in a Las Vegas chapel, sealing the union with a kiss at the altar.
Unfortunately, his antics only won him fifth place out of ten challengers - and he is dreading the moment his girlfriend finds out about the wedding.
Ricky, from Brighton, signed up for the challenge when Siemens staff visited University College London, where he studies French.
He was in the students' union bar when the reps started challenging people to take part in activities such as running around the campus in their underwear.
After joining in and explaining in a poem why he should be chosen for the next stage, Ricky was invited to a pub in Leicester Square with 39 others.
Challenges there included unzipping his trousers, placing a pint glass there and catching eggs thrown at him.
Ricky and nine others were then flown to the United States last Friday for a whistle-stop three-day tour of New York, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
The competitors, split into pairs, were given points for every madcap challenge they completed.
In New York, these included blagging free food and drink and playing the oversized piano in toy store FAO Schwarz with their feet.
Ricky said: "People there just didn't know what to make of us. They thought we were crazy. There were quite a few angry parents in the shop when we took over."
He also caused a disturbance in Tiffany's where he tried on an expensive engagement ring he pretended he wanted to buy.
He then proposed to a surprised assistant, who turned him down but said it was only because she was already married.
His achievements in Las Vegas included getting a free trip to the top of a hotel's mock Eiffel Tower by pretending it was for charity, and cartwheeling outside the MGM Grand singing Viva Las Vegas.
Ricky said: "Getting married carried the highest amount of points so it was something we had to do. I don't think it is binding though.
"I wanted to win so much, I thought, 'Anything goes' and we used sheer bravado to complete many of the challenges. I had a great time - it was a wild weekend."
