Look no further for festive floor-fillers - here are four of the best spots in the run-up to December 25 and beyond.
ETCH CHRISTMAS PARTY, Concorde 2, Brighton, December 20
In the calendar of clubbing, it's fair to say this has been the year of the Scruff so it's only apt the merry Mancunian is returning to Brighton for a one-off Christmas Party. The twist is that this visit will pit him against Tru Thoughts head honcho Robert Luis for what should be a full-on six hours of festive fun. Etch is one of Brighton's consistently popular nights and with both Mr Scruff and Robert Luis in attendance, this is expected to be a capacity crowd cracker. It runs from 10pm to 4am, admission is £8/7. Call 01273 772770.
MARGOT'S FUR BALL, Hanbury Ballroom, Brighton, December 28
When I arrived in Brighton, just over a year ago, one of the first things I heard was that attending one of Margot's parties was mandatory. The themed parties have a reputation for being more than a bit debauched. If you've missed out so far, the post-Christmas wake-up call that will be Margot's Fur Ball should be a good chance to catch up. It runs from 10pm to 2am, admission is £10 (£8 before 10.30pm). Call 01273 605789. For further info, visit www.margots.org EVERY DAY PEOPLE CHRISTMAS Party, The Escape, Brighton, December 28
Every Day People (EDP) was founded on the strength of residents Scott Gair, Ash Huntingdon and Friendly Pressure. The Xmas Party should be a good opportunity for clubbers to see the three of them stretch out. Expect two floors of funky house and US garage. It runs from 10pm to 3am, admission is £8/7. Call 01273 609906.
POSITIVE SOUND SYSTEM, Concorde 2, Madeira Drive, Brighton, December 21
The Positive Sound System celebrated its tenth birthday earlier this year but it continues to give more musical presents than it receives. Clubbers should enjoy Terry Francis' moody mix of what has been described as tech house, although freestyle is probably a better description and more in keeping with Positive's cliche-free sound. As always, expect a healthy mix of old-school ravers and young guns from both near and far. The night runs 10pm to 4am, admission is £8. Call 01273 772770.
