The lights that have caught Lisa Stewart's attention aren't of the twinkling fairy variety. They're mysterious illuminated circles on buildings, pavements and fences.
The images are perfect circles of light with a pronounced X at the centre.
Lisa first noticed them six years ago, took some photographs of them but then thought little more about them.
But this summer the circles began to reappear and in the last couple of weeks even more have been spotted.
Lisa, of Clarendon Road, Hove, said: "I've seen loads of circles - about 100 - in the past week.
"Normally, I would only see five or six in a week. I don't know why there should be so many more at this time of year but I think it may be a sign that, particularly at this time of year, people need to think more about goodness and peace.
"The cross is symbolic when people die and I think there may be a message there that lots of people do not want a war with Iraq."
Lisa, 36, a homeopath, healer and musician, has spotted most of the circles in and around Sackville Road and Blatchington Road in Hove.
Since we revealed the mysterious light circles six months ago she has been contacted by people from across the county and beyond.
She said: "I had phone calls from 26 people who had similar experiences. Most of them felt they had seen the lights during a time of crisis and thought they might have a healing purpose.
"Some people had lost someone close to them and were grieving. Some were ill or in hospital and others were experiencing trouble."
As well as seeing more of the lights, Lisa believes some of them may have a slightly different appearance.
She said: "Some are not white. They seem to be a more golden colour."
Lisa's children, Holly, eight, Fern, ten, and Dale, 12, have also seen them and there are reports of similar sightings around the world, including Germany, Slovenia, Canada and the USA.
She believes the lights are a phenomenon on a par with crop circles.
She said: "I don't think they are coincidences. At Christmas, people tend to mostly think about material things.
"I think the lights are a sign that we need to focus on changing things - forget about war and greed and concentrate on light and peace."
Lisa would like to hear from other people who have also experienced light circles. Call her on 01273 262408.
