Lewes beat Croydon Athletic 3-2 in an entertaining contest at the Dripping Pan in division one south.
Dominic Barclay had already hit the crossbar for Lewes when they took the lead on 19 minutes when a perfect through pass from Joe Clark found Danny Davis who slotted past the advancing goalkeeper Rob Frankland.
Eight minutes from the break, Croydon equalised after Dean Lock was allowed too much space down the right and his low cross was converted by Billy Jackson.
Lewes regained the lead in first-half injury time when a free kick from Graham Harper was headed over Frankland by Paul Kennett.
Athletic refused to lie down and made the score 2-2 on 62 minutes when Lock's cross was nodded back for Chris Dickson to head home.
The Rooks secured victory 14 minutes from time when substitute Matt Allen turned and fired a superb curving shot into the top corner.
A first half hat-trick from Windsor and Eton's Matthew Brady condemned Horsham to a 3-1 defeat at foggy Stag Meadow.
Hornets took the lead in the 25th minute when Rob Collins and Dave Flemming combined neatly, leaving Collins to slip the ball into the right corner of the net.
The lead lasted only a minute as the Hornets gave away a free-kick just outside the penalty area and Brady fired a shot around the left-hand side of the wall and the balls squeezed just inside the near post.
The home side attacked with renewed vigour and deservedly went ahead in the 41st minute. The Horsham midfield went missing as Dave Carroll advanced down the middle and he threaded the ball through to Brady who finished from an angle.
The lead was extended in the 47th minute of the opening period when the Horsham defence failed to clear their lines after another attack down the left and Brady crashed the ball across the goal and just inside the far post.
Manager John Maggs said: "I was disappointed with the goals where we didn't defend at all. But, surprisingly, I don't think we played too badly. We got the goal and were looking comfortable but couldn't hang on to the lead for more than minute."
Bognor's match at Tooting was postponed.
