Micky Taylor has told his Three Bridges players to shape up or ship out.

Bridges have lost three games on the trot ahead of a Boxing Day showdown with Redhill, who have won their last three games.

The former St Leonards manager is refusing to panic, but he is equally determined not to let the rot set in.

Taylor said: "If the players can't produce what we want them to produce, they will have to go. Following our win at Chichester we should have gone forwards but we have gone backwards.

"The ironic situation is that there are only four points separating about seven places where we are in the table. If we hadn't had this bad run we would have been in the top four.

"We are not despondent. I am a very positive person. I always believe with hard work, application and belief you can put things right."

Jamie Edwards misses the Boxing Day game as he is going home to see family in Dorset but Taylor expects to have an otherwise full strength squad to choose from.

He said: "I have told the players in no uncertain terms if they phone me before the game to say they are unavailable, it will be the last call they make to this club. I won't have anybody jumping ship.

"We have 17 games left. If we can win 16 and draw one, because you have to allow for a hiccup, then we would have had a good season! That is the way you have to look at things. You have to be positive.

"Sure after three defeats supporters think the manager is not doing his job.

"I have to accept that. It is the same for Billy Smith at Crawley.

"One minute you are the best thing since sliced bread, the next you are not. I can cope with that. It is my job to do something about it."
