Sean Ray has added to St Leonards' woes ahead of their Boxing Day visit to Eastbourne Borough.
Ray suffered ankle ligament damage after scoring in Saturday's defeat against Sittingbourne and could now be out for up to a month.
Peter Baker, the subject of an approach from Borough, is unavailable for Saints along with Phil Henderson and Richard Calloway while Paul Wilson is out with a broken rib and Tony Cornelius is suspended.
Manager Terry White said: "I will have at least six under-18s in the squad. I have no alternative, and that's providing I can get hold of them. I am having to spring it on them at the last minute.
"That is the way it is at the club. It is beginning to get to me. I have tried to keep a smiley face but it is starting to wear me down.
"It is frustrating because I can't put out the same side for two games in a row."
White remains hopeful that Baker will reject a move to Borough and he insists, whatever the player's decision, nothing will happen before Thursday.
Borough will welcome back top-scorer Scott Ramsay for the game after the former Albion striker sat out Saturday's win over Ashford Town with a one-match suspension.
Former Lewes midfielder Justin Harris is added to the squad. Harris continued his recovery from a broken leg by playing a full 90 minutes for the reserves against Arundel on Saturday.
Coach Nick Greenwood said: "League positions go out of the window for local derbies. It will be a really hard game for both sides.
"We had the players in for training last night (Monday) which shows how seriously we are taking the game."
Borough are hoping for a crowd in excess of 600 for the game.
Crawley boss Billy Smith will again be without defender Ellis Hooper and skipper Peter Fear for the premier division trip to Welling United.
Both served one-match bans at Tiverton on Saturday, but because the game was abandoned the suspensions now have to be served on Boxing Day.
It's frustrating for Smith, especially as the booking Kevin Hemsley picked up in Devon does count.
Top scorer Dave Stevens is struggling with a knee injury and will need a fitness test so Warren Bagnall, who replaced him on Saturday, stands by to play from the start.
Hastings United hope to end their dismal league run with victory at home to Havant and Waterlooville.
The visitors are a point and two places worse off than George Wakeling's men in mid-table.
