I and many others utterly object to the outrageous proposals to build a 16-storey tower on the old Endeavour Garage site in Preston Road, Brighton.
It will have a detrimental effect on the Preston conservation area and will impact on the environment of Preston Park and the view of the Grade II listed railway viaduct.
The planned six-storey building announced before was deemed by conservationists and everyone in the surrounding area to have extremely detrimental effects on the Victorian surroundings. The new proposition is simply staggering in its absurdity.
This hideous monstrosity will impose itself not only on every person who lives under its shadow but also everyone who enters Brighton and Hove by this route.
What an ugly concrete greeting they are to be given, in all its stark austerity.
This is a prime example of how horrific architecture combined with greedy landowners can smash a community to pieces and rape historic surroundings.
