Michel Kuipers will still be in goal for Albion against Burnley at Withdean on Saturday - even though he won't be able to kick.
The brave Dutchman suffered a recurrence of right thigh trouble in yesterday's shock 1-0 triumph at Norwich.
The injury prevented Kuipers from kicking in the second half of the Seagulls' first win for eight matches at Carrow Road.
Boss Steve Coppell initially intended to draft in an emergency replacement. He has now abandoned that plan after Kuipers was checked over this morning by physio Malcolm Stuart.
Coppell said: "Michel is going to play tomorrow. He won't be able to kick, so it is a question of wait and see.
"I am told, apart from kicking, he will be 100 per cent and it saves me rushing in and doing something I might regret. It gives me a few more days to assess his situation, rather than diving in and taking someone."
Andy Petterson, who covered for Kuipers earlier in the season, is unavailable as he has joined Bournemouth. Rookie Will Packham will remain on the bench tomorrow as cover for Kuipers.
Kuipers and his defenders performed heroics in the second half to keep Norwich out after Steve Sidwell volleyed Albion ahead from a Simon Rodger corner in the 39th minute.
The Dutch goalkeeper said: "In the first half I pulled a muscle in the top of my thigh when I came out of the box and stretched. It was too risky to aggravate it more by kicking.
"I was hoping they were going to go to my left all the time after that! I was just happy to be out there. We had a bit of luck and I think we deserved it."
Rodger will miss the Burnley match. He was carried off at half-time with further damage to his broken big left toe. Coppell said: "Simon's toe is twice its normal size so he has got no chance."
Charlie Oatway, Rodger's midfield replacement, collected his fifth caution of the campaign and will now be suspended for Albion's next away League game at Coventry on January 11.
The Seagulls are still next-to-bottom, level on points with Stoke and Sheffield Wednesday and six adrift of Grimsby, the team immediately above the relegation zone.
Grimsby won 3-1 at Derby, while Sheffield Wednesday stay at the foot of the table on goal difference despite a 2-0 home victory over Nottingham Forest.
