Holidaymakers in Sussex are among the most adventurous tourists in Britain, a survey has revealed.
Whether it is trekking in Turkey or kayaking on the Costa Brava, many people in Brighton and Hove prefer to get away from it all with an activity holiday rather than sit on a beach.
Travel company Activities Abroad conducted a survey to find out which British cities were home to the most adventurous.
It found Brighton and Hove was sixth on the list when it came to residents choosing activity holidays.
It was beaten by Manchester, home to the most experimental travellers, followed by Bristol, Aberdeen, Coventry and Belfast.
Barry Nolan, sales and marketing director for Activities Abroad, said: "Our survey clearly shows people in Brighton are more imaginative when it comes to booking holidays."
