As most readers form part of the electorate, would it not be logical and a public service to publish a regular summary of how our local MPs vote?

After each General Election, The Argus prints a detailed analysis of the result yet there is minimal follow-up during the next five years. Let us know what our members are doing at Westminster and we can give them credit, or otherwise, when deserved.

Some MPs have an appalling attendance and voting history while others are excellent. A few belong to a committee but others appear to do very little.

When they make a speech in a debate, please print it. When there is a vote in the house, let us know which of them are for, against, abstain or are absent.

The ballot is secret but their actions should not be. We have a right to know.
