East Grinstead moved two points closer to the leaders after James Horner hit an injury time winner to seal an amazing 4-3 win over Mile Oak.
Wasps had come from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with local rivals Crawley Down on Boxing Day, but Mile Oak looked like giving their promotion hopes a setback when they led 3-1 with 25 minutes left.
However, goals from substitute Jamie Liddell and top-scorer Ben Burns, with his 14th of the season, drew Town level and East Court erupted when Horner headed home Matt Thorpe's cross.
Scott Carden netted twice for Mile Oak after Tony Burnett had put them ahead.
Lancing came from behind to beat Broadbridge Heath 2-1.
Dan Attwater put Heath ahead with a 25th-minute penalty but Lancing netted twice in four minutes shortly before the hour mark thanks to Paul Rapps and Glen Souter.
Eastbourne United secured their first win under new manager Cyril Jeans, beating Crawley Down 2-1 with a brace from new signing Richard Piper. All the goals came in the last 12 minutes with Adam Aylward converting a consolation penalty late on.
Seaford also picked up three valuable points with a convincing 5-1 win over Worthing United.
Sixteen-year-old striker Tristan Jobe scored his first senior goal to set the ball rolling. Tom Callaghan, Geoff Sallows (two) and John Snelgrove also scored. Andrew Walsh replied.
