Controversial plans limiting people's access to mental health day care are about to come under the spotlight.
The Allen Centre in Sackville Gardens, Hove, would no longer be open as a drop-in base under the South Downs Health NHS Trust's proposals.
Regulars would only be allowed two half-day visits a week.
The National Service Framework Group will discuss the plans on Thursday, after delaying a decision last October.
A trust spokeswoman said they were likely to want a further month of consultation before coming to a decision.
Members of the centre have said the uncertainty was not helping their health and that attendance had dropped.
James Watson, of Rugby Road, Brighton, said: "The whole situation has put some people back a few steps"
The proposals would spread support groups and courses across other mental health centres including those at Blatchington Road, Hove, and Preston Park, Brighton.
