Sharing the same interests has been the secret of Reg and Dora Williamson's 60 years of marriage.
The couple, who live in Sandore Road, Seaford, celebrate their diamond wedding anniversary today and say they are happy because they both enjoy gardening.
They met in a choir in Newhaven and married at St Michael's All Angels Church in the town.
Mr Williamson, 82, owned a pharmacy in Peacehaven, where his wife, who is 84, helped out.
They both dedicated 37 years to helping the Newhaven and District Society for Mentally handicapped Children.
Unfortunately, Mr Williamson will be spending his anniversary in hospital but his family plan to take in cakes, cards and champagne to celebrate the occasion.
