Self-storage chain the Big Yellow Group said its performance in the final quarter of last year had been relatively resilient but it was "not immune" to the uncertain economic outlook.
The Bagshot-based group, which has a store on Lewes Road, Brighton, recorded turnover of £4.1 million for three months to December 31, an improvement of five per cent on the previous quarter and of 78 per cent on the same period in 2001.
Projected annual turnover has been revised upwards from £16.4 million at the end of September to £17.3 million. Customer numbers were up eight per cent in the quarter on the previous three months and 82 per cent ahead of those for the same period a year before.
