Fees for collecting abandoned vehicles may go up by three per cent.
Worthing's environment executive Peter Green has been recommended by borough council officers to approve the charge increases, which relate to refuse, dumped cars and the licensing of Hackney carriages, at a meeting tomorrow.
The general approach to the next financial year's increases is a three per cent rise, averaging about £5 but it could be higher in some cases.
Where the owner of an abandoned vehicle is found, the recommended charge for removal of the vehicle is expected to go up to £90 plus storage costs, from £85.
A proposed new charge could mean householders will have to pay £45 to have a vehicle removed.
The cost of special sacks to encourage the recycling of garden waste may be reduced from 75p to 65p.
Charges for taxi drivers and private hire vehicle drivers applying for new licences or renewing their licences could go up by £5.
There will also be minor charge increases on collections of bulky household waste.
