Tourism lecturers and local businesses are teaming up to talk about ways to attract more tourists.
A pilot project is being run in Arun district to help local tourism businesses promote themselves more successfully.
Ideas include using the internet and creating their own promotional materials.
The seminar, to be held later this month, is a new partnership between Arun District Council and University College Chichester.
The event is being sponsored by Quality Edge, which is subsidised by the European Social Fund through Sussex Enterprise.
Derek Whittaker, the council's Cabinet member for regeneration, said: "We are encouraging all local tourism businesses to attend this seminar.
"This event is another example of a good partnership working for the best of the district and we hope it will prove to be of great value to Arun tourism businesses."
It is being held at the Hilton Avisford Park hotel in Walberton, near Arundel, on January 21.
