An Eastbourne garage containing gas cylinders and two cars was gutted by fire this morning.
The workshop, which belongs to MW Vehicles, Elm Grove, caught alight at 6.30am.
Two cars stored in the building were destroyed by the fire, which workers suspect started when a heater caught light.
Four fire brigade crews from Eastbourne were sent to the blaze and remained on the scene for more than two hours while propane gas cylinders were cooled down to stop them exploding.
No one was seriously injured but one man was taken to the Eastbourne District General Hospital suffering from the effects of smoke.
